Voice of Democracy Speech Contest: Open to students in grades 9 -12. This year's theme is Does My Generation Have a Role in America's Future? Deadline: November 1, 2010. Entry forms can be picked up in the counselor's office.

Power of Life Creative Scholarship: Minimum of a 2.5 GPA; student must submit a creative project that will inspire others to Commit for Life. Deadline: March 1, 2011. Download an application at www.giveblood.org/scholarship
